The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival is here again and visitor to the area can delight in the free musical event that will take place on Playa Mamitas in Playa del Carmen only an hour from Villa del Palmar Cancun.
Cancun and its surrounding areas does not tire of offering visitors a range of cultural, artistic and gastronomic events to keep them delighted every time they visit but the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival is one such happening that should not be missed. 2013’s festival looks set to be an exciting affair with national and international artists already confirmed to take the stage.
The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival was first launched in 2003 by Aguamala’s drummer, Fernando Toussaint, who played and toured with jazz legend Herb Alpert. Toussaint and his talent team have delivered exceptional festivals ever since. What makes the festival particularly impressive is the stage set on Mamitas Beach, so you can watch the concerts under a Caribbean star lit sky.
The free jazz festival will take place on November 28, 29 and 30 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and has a great line up of artist playing jazz, funk, blues and soul. Confirmed artists include, Aguamala, Matthew Garrison, Brent Fischer, Scott Henderson, Dennis Chambers and Jeff Berlin, Allan Holdsworth, Ed Motta, Celso Piña, and the 70’s legends, Earth Wind & Fire.
