Since 2005, Vallarta Lifestyle’s Restaurant Week has given local Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors the chance to try out the most coveted restaurants in the area. Inspired by Restaurants Weeks that influential fine dining destinations began hosting around the world, the Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week keeps getting better with each year. Participating establishments create innovative three-course menus, and prices are often discounted up to 50% off regular priced selections. Our featured restaurants is Blanca Blue at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa which is located just south of downtown Puerto Vallarta. This contemporary gourmet restaurant appreciates that the art of gastronomy, and strives to constantly evolve and stay abreast of the latest culinary trends. Blanca Blue focuses on experimentation, cutting-edge techniques, and innovative cuisine, all while using only the highest quality local products. The result is delicious and flavorful meals that will impress even those with the most sophisticated palates. During this year’s Restaurant Week, diners can choose from the following 3 choices of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Appetizer choices include Molotes Istmeños, Tetela de Pulpo, and Picada which is a skirt steak salad with avocado, cream sauce, and tortilla strips. For the main course, you can try Zarandeado fish, Oaxacan Mole, or Seared Tuna with grasshopper crust, hibiscus sauce, and sweet potato pureé. Last, but not least, dessert choices include Pumpkin Mousse with cacao and vanilla ice cream, Light and Divine which is an apple ice cream with oatmeal dust, cardamon and eucalyptus cotton candy, or a sweet and savory cotija cheese flan with pork rind dust.
