Cabo San Lucas – Beaches

If you are staying in a hotel on the beach in Cabo San Lucas then you will most probably spend the majority of your time there; however, if you want to explore the area a little more, Cabo has a selection of amazing beaches with a distinctive flair for you to enjoy within easy reach.

PLAYA BARCO VARADO (Stranded Boat Beach)

This beach got its name because of the hull of a Japanese fishing boat that ran aground in 1964. What makes this beach special is the marine life you can see trapped in rock pools as the tide goes out. You can also go fishing, snorkeling, surfing and windsurfing here.

SANTA MARIA BAY

Just a little further on from Play Barco Varado, you will find a lovely beach for swimming and snorkeling. You can rent equipment here or bring your own snorkeling gear.

PLAYA CHILENO

This beach is great for swimming and snorkeling and there are many stalls where you can rent equipment, including jet skis, windsurfing gear and organize water skiing.

EL BLEDITO

A lovely beach for swimming and fishing. There are many five star hotels here, which means a lot of vendors selling all sorts of wonderful wares.

PLAYA BUENOS AIRES

This is a surfing beach with strong currents and waves. It has basic services and a great view.

ARROYO SECO and PALMILLA

These are two beaches with calm waters where you can swim, fish, snorkel or dive. They offer windsurfing and jet skiing equipment.

PLAYA ACAPULQUITO

Another surfing beach with a restaurant and trailer park.

PUNTA GORDA

You will see white rocks on the cliffs here with strange shapes and lots of nesting birds. It really is spectacular array of colors worth taking photographs.
